Leone 1947

In March 1947, after many years of experience in the leather processing sector, Orlando Leone, crowned with the honorary title of “Knight of Italy”, founded the LEONE Milanese sporting goods factory.

The founder's passion for football, and especially boxing, led him to create products related to these sports. He then produces football-related products, primarily footballs and football boots, which are sold under the "PAROLA" label.

Inter, Milan, Juventus were among the major football teams that used the famous 18-section leather-colored ball, and players of the caliber of Antognoni, Angelillo and Scirea were the first to play with LEONE football boots.

The company soon became the market leader in boxing as well. There was no Italian boxer of the era who didn't wear LEONE boxing gloves.

Since then, the LEONE brand has continued to compete throughout Italy, putting all its productive experience at the disposal of new disciplines that arrived in Europe from overseas, such as Kick-Thai Boxing and Savate.

In recent years, LEONE has consolidated its strong market position in Europe and overseas, thanks to prestigious sponsorships with champions Giorgio and Armen Petrosyan, Gago Drago, Artur Kyshenko, Alessio Sakara, Chingiz Allazov, Yuri Bessmertny and others.

The company is now in its third generation of the LEONE family and will continue on the path it has taken, continually improving and developing its own production. Today, LEONE is also a reality in the sportswear and lifestyle sectors.
